Ford Expedition SSV 2025: Ready for Law Enforcement

Ford offers a vast and diverse catalog for both the general public and businesses. This also extends to emergency services, and the Expedition SSV joins the American automaker’s fleet for 2025. It becomes part of a lineup that already includes the Interceptor, the F-150 Responder, the Lightning Pro SSV, the Transit, and the Mustang Mach-E.

Special Preparation

The Ford Expedition SSV closely resembles the standard model, except for a few unique elements specifically designed to meet the needs of law enforcement.

The 2025 Expedition SSV comes equipped with standard 18-inch aluminum wheels and vinyl flooring. The regular version offers two rows of seats, while the Max SSV version includes three rows.

A 24-inch digital display serves as the instrument panel, showing all vehicle-related information.

The Ford Expedition SSV is also the only vehicle in its class to feature a two-piece tailgate, which can be particularly useful for law enforcement. It’s worth noting that this tailgate alone can support up to 500 pounds.

As if that weren’t enough, the American automaker’s SUV is equipped with all the advanced safety technologies Ford has to offer, including the BLIS system, cross-traffic alert, and Pro Trailer Backup Assist.

Plenty of Power Under the Hood

The 2025 Ford Expedition SSV is undoubtedly powerful. It is powered by a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine producing 400 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. It also boasts a towing capacity of up to 9,600 pounds, making it ideal for transporting the various equipment law enforcement may require, whether it’s a boat or ATVs.
